So here we go! Welcome to the Song of the Month Club! Song of the Month Club is the site where I will be debuting a song each
month that I have written during that month. It is part of the requirements for my Master's degree for the Creative Pulse program at the University of Montana. I am committing to writing
at least one song per month. When you listen to a song, please give me comments and feedback -- what did you like, what worked, what do you wish was different, and so on. That way, hopefully I will get better and better at writing good songs. Also, please give me any ideas you have for songs you think I should write. That way, this blog can be as interactive as possible! Many thanks to Karen (K2) for giving me some song ideas already.
Got back from the Pulse yesterday. My house is full of sheet rock and spackle dust from Jerry trying valiantly to fix the ceiling before I got home. Oh well. Life always seems to be a work in progress (hmm...song idea?). I'll be sending my son off to camp on Tuesday, and then plan to set up a workspace in my home (thanks again to Angela for being my inspiration!). I have been talking about having an art space/studio in my house for ages. With Zephyr gone at camp, I will be working on clearing out his old bedroom (not his current room!) to become that space. Wish me luck!
Hello my dear. The house isn't *cough* that *cough* dusty... compared with the 1930's Dust Bowl http://www.livinghistoryfarm.org/farminginthe30s/water_02.html
ReplyDeleteAnd the white powdered look was fashionable at one time (1760's?). It'll be over soon, I promise. Cross my heart and hope not to get smothered in my sleep. I love the idea of your blog, and hope to hear many songs to come.
WOW again to your wonderful song!!! I like the photos you put with it.... Rick will be SO pleased at how jiggy you are wit' it! (Hmmmm.... how "jiggy" not be in the spellcheck dictionary???) I am so impressed that you already have this done - but NOT surprised! Can't wait for August's song. Assuming, of course, you survive the dust... I recommend my method: come home after the contractor is DONE with the dusty parts. Of course it extremely hard to get ANY dust in ketchikan... it's mostly more MUD..... XO!
